ok so as you all know i live in arizona. but what you dont know is that im a really humungus local band girl!!! Ok soooo i have sooo many local bands that i like but there are two that are really good and stick out of al the rest. One is Weird IS the New Cool-um so it went a little like this kyle and nate met in high school, kyle was already doing solo things and nate played drums and guitar for his church band. They alwasy talked about making a band but never got around to it untill there Freshman year of college. So they were recording and part of there band droped out soooo they went looking for replacements. Thats when they found Cash.Cashes unique personality and style of"shredding " was just what Weird is the new cool was looking for .Now Cash was in a previous band Not So Selfish which sooo became the finale edition to Weird IS the New Cool Tim(Drums) Jessie(Bass). Ever since they have been rocking AZ with there sick bass lines , ill guitar solos , and lyrics about every days things. ok now my other favorite local band is Capa To the Sun- Nick Miller (from his self-titled solo project) and "Omni" (the creator of Omni VII) met in late 2007 when Omni became the full time bassist for Lyra, their previous band. With Omni on bass and Nick on rhythm guitar in Lyra, the two got a glimpse of what the Arizona music scene was all about, playing many shows and meeting some great people. With the sudden break up of Lyra the following year, Nick and Omni retreated back to their solo projects for a short time before deciding to collaborate and re-emerge as Capa To The Sun. More experienced and more confident, Nick and Omni began writing songs that bridged together their own styles. With Nick bringing his clear vocals and snappy guitar work and Omni bringing his long established electronica sound from Omni VII through keys and synth, the two have set out to create a truly unique sound coupled with an energetic, memorable live performance.
